Started my profile, now what?

Getting the word out to old and prospective clients helps create awareness for your service(s) profile, and helps build your client and review base for future clients. 

If you have a freelancer profile ; enhance it by doing the following: 

-Portfolio pictures: Your portfolio pictures are a visual representation of your services. Upload at least seven pictures of your most recent, up to date work to show clients your work. Profiles with professional images tend to get more requests than low quality images.

-Create a detailed profile description by writing as much as you can of yourself to clients. Profiles with details on freelancers, services, history and experience usually get the most bookings. 

-Update your profile and portfolio to the current season. This is particularly for Fashion Freelancers with seasonal services. Chances are current time the new season, but your portfolio and description describes last season. Get with the program.

-Display a detailed pricelist along with prices. Clients are mostly looking for affordable services and need to know if they can afford your services or send a service request. Update your price-list to provide this information . 

Getting the word out to increase your profile traffic 

  • In Person: Shared the word about your AKO’ profile to clients. Show them how to book your services or the next appointment using your AKO’ account. 
  • Use the CREATE/SHARE PROFILE link feature to share your direct link to clients via text, email or via social media. 

With the direct profile link feature, all you need to select the method of sharing your profile link to old or new clients… i.e messages, email, whats app, etc., and clients can get your direct link to booking your services directly. 


Social Media: Copy your unique profile link and post it in your bio section on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest. Caption your link  by letting your followers ..or prospective clients  know your services are available for booking, or give them a “call-to-action.” i.e BOOK ME


  • It’s convenient. They can book you anytime they want using that personal link, without the hassle of searching and filtering to get your profile. 
  • Awareness to your profile; old and new clients can book your services using  that link and can help spread the word out about your profile and your services.
